Warm, sunny, and dry — highs around 31–32°C (88–90°F), cooler in the evenings. Pack light fabrics, a layer for the night, sunscreen, and swimwear.
Most US travellers will need a visa — an e-Visa is usually the simplest route. Apply a few weeks ahead of travel and check the official Indian e-Visa portal for current requirements and processing times.
None are required. Being up to date on routine vaccines is recommended, as is Hepatitis A and Typhoid, since both are usually advised for travel to India.
Stick to bottled or filtered water, which is available everywhere, including at the resort. Ice at hotels and reputable restaurants is generally fine.
Indian Rupees. Cards work at hotels and bigger restaurants, but carry some cash for smaller shops, taxis, and beach shacks. Exchange money in Goa, not at the airport.
It’s not required, but appreciated for good service — restaurants, drivers, and hotel staff will happily accept a tip, though no one will expect one.
English is widely spoken, alongside Konkani and Hindi.
Take your cues from the couple’s families — there may be moments to remove your shoes or dress a little more modestly. Photos are welcome throughout, just be mindful of staying out of the way during key ritual moments.
